Patrick Anderson - Candidate for EVA Board of Directors

I’m thrilled to announce my candidacy for the Electric Vehicle Association (EVA) Board of Directors, and I believe I'm uniquely qualified to help lead the EVA into its next chapter of growth and impact.

The EVA needs leaders who understand the EV ecosystem from every angle: the average owner, the charging industry, the auto industry, and government policy. My experience connects all four.

As Co-founder of The Electric Duo YouTube channel and the Ford EV Clubs, I offer:

  • Grassroots & National Reach: I’ve attended and helped organize EV community events in 9 states. We’ve built an online social forum connecting thousands of owners nationwide, fostering direct community support and education. I personally connect with thousands of owners and prospective buyers daily via our YouTube channel (4M+ views, 17k+ comments).
  • Industry Insight: As an EV media professional, I’ve attended major industry conferences (ACT Expo, EV Charging Summit, LA Automobility, Electrify Expo, RE+). I've met and interviewed executives from charging networks, auto OEMs, and other key companies, giving me unique, real-time insight into the future of the industry, from charger availability & reliability to V2X technology.
  • Tech Knowledge: My extensive background in IT—serving in the US Air Force plus working in Silicon Valley's private sector and the US Department of Transportation—has given me the vast experience needed to develop robust technology systems. I also utilized those skills to also create websites, newsletters, and other tools for nonprofits in education, homelessness, and clean energy to connect with their advocates. Furthermore, my deep-seated technology knowledge and passion allow me to quickly grasp the complex technological foundations driving the entire EV industry.
  • Training: Throughout my professional and volunteer experiences, a central theme has been my commitment to training. I have honed my abilities as a trainer, enabling me to effectively translate complex technical or policy information into easily digestible content for any audience. This expertise is demonstrated through my contributions to the EV education videos on our YouTube channel and my role as an EV Coach with Drive Electric Colorado.
  • Proven Governance: My experience is complemented by public service as a former member of the Centennial CO City Council and the Denver Regional Council of Governments, ensuring I have the necessary familiarity with advocating for policy changes that will enable growth in EV adoption.
