About Us

We're Patrick Anderson and Liv Leigh, passionate electric car owners who started The Electric Duo in 2020. Our journey began with our own Mustang Mach-E, and our mission is to demystify the EV lifestyle for regular consumers. We create content that focuses on the real-world cost, practicality, and joy of electric car ownership, helping to educate and support others in their transition to electric. We also cover home tech - using smart home devices and solar to save money on electricity.

Patrick Anderson

Patrick is both a car & tech enthusiast. He has become an expert on EV and EV charging technology and offers insights into the auto industry’s transition to EVs and Software Defined Vehicles (SDV). He also uses his expertise to provide coverage about green home energy & smart home technology.

In January 2026, Patrick was elected to serve on the Motor Press Guild board.

The Electric Duo is primarily a YouTube channel that focuses on EV reviews, education, charging, events, and more. Beyond that, they also have an active presence on other social media platforms.

In addition, Liv & Patrick have many other professional highlights including: writing for A Girl’s Guide to Cars, speaking on EV focus panels, consulting with EV-related companies, appearing on multiple EV focused podcasts, and they were named the EV Road Trip Ambassadors of the Year in 2023 by the Electric Vehicle Association.
