1. 100% Independent Reviews (No Paid Reviews)

• We never accept payment to review a vehicle, product, or service. A review cannot be bought under any circumstances.
• No Editorial Interference: Automakers, PR firms, and hardware manufacturers have no input on our opinions, verdicts, scoring, or editorial schedule.
• Vehicle Review Firewall (Zero Automaker Previews): We have never allowed an automotive manufacturer to preview, review, or approve a video or article prior to publication. Automakers see our finished work at the exact same time the public does.
• Strictly Limited Exceptions for Technical & Legal Compliance: As a rule across 99% of our content, third parties do not see our material prior to publication. In rare, specific situations, we may permit limited review strictly confined to:
  • Technical Fact-Checking on Pre-Production Gear: For early-stage or pre-production hardware, we may share clips solely to verify technical accuracy and confirm engineering specifications are described correctly.
  • Legal & Safety Compliance on Major Partnerships: On specific large-scale collaborative projects or sponsored road trips, partner legal teams may review footage exclusively to verify safety and regulatory compliance (e.g., verifying that all traffic laws and speed limits were strictly obeyed during production).
  • The Non-Negotiable Boundary: These rare previews are never an opportunity for a partner or brand to edit our creative voice, soften critiques, alter our conclusions, or influence our narrative. If a product or service has flaws, we state them plainly.

Hardware & EVSEs

3. Review Hardware & Long-Term Testing

From time to time, companies send us Level 2 home chargers (EVSEs), charging adapters, dashcams, or other EV accessories for evaluation:

• Long-Term Testing: Most manufacturers allow us to retain this equipment rather than returning it. We intentionally keep these units to conduct long-term reliability and endurance testing under real-world weather and daily charging conditions.
• No Favors: Retaining review hardware does not buy positive coverage or guarantee future promotion. If a charger fails or underperforms over time, our updates will reflect that reality.

Monetization & FTC Compliance

5. Sponsorships, Advertising & Mid-Rolls

To support video production, web hosting, and independent testing operations, we accept commercial sponsorships and advertising:

• Unrelated Mid-Roll Sponsorships: We occasionally include paid mid-roll sponsorships within our vehicle and hardware reviews. However, these integrations are strictly restricted to unrelated products or services (e.g., software, productivity tools, web services) that do not create a conflict of interest with the vehicle or gear being evaluated.
• Strict Commercial Firewall (No Paid Immunity): An advertiser never receives immunity from critique. Sponsoring a video or purchasing ad space gives a company zero influence over any past, current, or future review.
• FTC Compliance: We strictly adhere to FTC guidelines. Sponsored content is clearly and prominently labeled on our website and includes on-screen disclosure tags (“Includes paid promotion”), verbal notices, and description callouts on YouTube.
