What do these mean?
- Plug & Charge
- The car and charger negotiate digital certificates when you plug in. No app, card or screen interaction needed (ISO 15118, or a network's equivalent such as EVgo Autocharge+).
- In-car + app
- Start and pay from the car's infotainment screen and from the automaker's smartphone app.
- In-app
- Start and pay from the automaker's or app's smartphone app, using the card on file in that account.
- Roaming
- Works through a roaming agreement between networks (RFID card or partner app) rather than a direct integration.
- Not integrated
- No direct integration. Use the network's own app, a card or tap-to-pay at the charger.

The largest US DC fast network, with roughly 40,000 stalls (about half of US DC fast ports, Oct 2026). Nearly every EV brand now has access: newer models with a native NACS port plug in directly, while CCS1 cars need an approved adapter. Sessions start in the Tesla app, your automaker's app, or with Plug & Charge where the car supports it.

DC fast (CCS, NACS pilot)
Volkswagen Group's network: about 6,000 ports at roughly 1,190 locations, up to 350 kW. It is converting selected CCS connectors to NACS and opened its first all-NACS stations in California in summer 2026. Plug & Charge is widely supported.
IONNA
High-power DC (NACS + CCS)
A joint venture of BMW, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Stellantis and Toyota, with about 1,700 stalls and a goal of 30,000 by 2030. Bays offer both NACS and CCS cables at up to 400 kW. Anyone can pay with a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or the IONNA, ChargePoint, EV Connect or Presto apps. ChargePoint RFID cards and Tap to Charge do not work.
EVgo
DC fast & L2
Metro-focused DC fast network with about 5,300 ports (100–350 kW). Autocharge+ is EVgo's plug-and-charge feature, which identifies the car and bills your EVgo account; GM also has native Plug & Charge. NACS connectors are being added alongside CCS.
ChargePoint
DC fast & L2
The largest US network by ports (about 84,000 public ports, mostly Level 2), with site hosts owning the hardware. It underpins Mercedes-Benz's public charging account and several automaker roaming integrations. The ChargePoint app works at IONNA.
Blink Charging
DC fast & L2
About 22,400 public ports (roughly 2,000 DC fast, about two-thirds of fast sites at car dealerships). Part of Ford's BlueOval Charge Network since 2023; Genesis lists it as coming soon.
FLO

North American network operating Level 2 and DC fast chargers in the US and Canada. Part of Ford's BlueOval Charge Network and supported in Genesis In-App Charging.
Shell Recharge
Roaming platform, L2 & DC fast
In the US, Shell Recharge is now mainly a roaming and billing platform. Shell agreed in Nov 2025 to sell most of the Volta network to Jolt (closing expected Jan 1, 2026). A Shell Recharge account handles billing for BMW's My BMW app and Plug & Charge.

DC fast & L2
Software-focused network owned by Schneider Electric, with about 1,600 DC fast and 2,900 Level 2 ports where site owners set prices. Works at IONNA through the EV Connect app; Plug & Charge is offered to GM EV owners at supported stations.

About 790 DC fast ports, strong in Oklahoma, the central US and rural corridors. Joined Ford's BlueOval Charge Network in 2023.
bp pulse
DC fast
bp's US fast-charging arm, with about 850 DC fast ports including Gigahub sites. It is a Ford BlueOval Charge Network partner, and Ford reported Plug & Charge live at its 150 kW chargers in Aug 2026 (the 400 kW units already had it). Presto announced a collaboration for commercial drivers in May 2026, and the Octopus Charge app lists it as a partner.
