Hello everyone!
We are ONE WEEK away from heading to Chicago to start Route 66 Recharged!!! We have all of our hotels booked and our agenda is almost finalized! Our Route 66 Recharged t-shirts have arrived and Liv got a new hula hoop for the trip!
Meetup Updates!
We've finalized the details for our Route 66 Recharged meetups - sorta! I say "sorta" because things could change due to weather and we are still waiting to hear from the locations to make sure everything is OK with our plans.
We've also been working with our sponsors on some fun prizes and giveaways! Each location with have one lucky attendee receive a prize from EV-Vida!
For all of the meetups, I have created events on Ford EV Clubs, Facebook, and Drive Electric Earth Month. (If you are going to an event, please RSVP on the Facebook event AND Drive Electric Earth Month event! Both help us out!)
Chicago - April 11 - 1:30pm to 3:30pm
We're going to kick things off at Portillo's! The plan is to meet in the parking lot and try to park as far away from the building as possible - we don't want to interrupt their business and we want to park as many EVs together as possible! We'll hang out by the cars, take photos with the Mustang Mach-E GT California Special, and we have a giveaway from EV-Vida for a lucky attendee! And, we will go into Portillo's for an Italian Beef or some chocolate cake!
Right now, the forecast is saying it could rain, but we're having this meetup no matter what! If it rains, we might just run straight into Portillo's! 🙂

Oklahoma City - April 14 - 6pm to 8pm
After driving through parts of Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma, we'll arrive in time to have an evening meetup at the Fordson Hotel! This hotel used to be a Model T factory, which seems very fitting for our road trip! We are coordinating with the hotel manager about where we can park together and other details. This is dependent on our group size, so please RSVP now to help us plan!

Santa Monica - April 19 - 11:30am to 1:30pm
We're planning to arrive in Santa Monica on Sunday morning and hope you'll join us at the famous "End of the Trail" sign! We'll take photos at the sign and with the California Special. The parking lot for the Santa Monica Pier is huge, so we'll try to park in an area where others can join us that morning. Stay tuned for details as we figure out the logistics!

BONUS: At 9am on the 19th, there is a Daybreaker on the Santa Monica Pier! Daybreakers are morning dance parties that have been going on for over a decade in more than 66 cities around the world! And just by coincidence, they will be having one the day we finish our trip!
